What if the biggest constraint on your wealth—and your impact—isn’t how much you earn, but how you earn it? Many high performers find themselves stuck in a cycle where more success simply demands more time. Joey Mure, co-founder of Wealth Without Wall Street, challenges that model by helping individuals shift from being the engine of their income to becoming the architect of it.

In this post, we’ll break down a simple 2-step strategy inspired by Joey’s approach to help you stop trading time for money and start building true financial freedom. The goal isn’t just to earn more—it’s to create a system where your money works for you, giving you the freedom to focus on what matters most and expand your ability to serve others at a higher level.

He hopes to be remembered as a lover of Jesus, to vote a husband and faithful father. Despite dreaming around age 10 of becoming an orthopedic surgeon, he was found himself in the mortgage business for 11 years, and then moving to finance and then his personal mentor, Nelson Nash, another man of integrity impact, and somehow, he became someone that he looked up to. And between all of that and so much more, he has built with his partners and team, an amazing company that’s going to teach us not only how to build wealth without Wall Street, but also today to have freedom to increase service. Please. Welcome to the show with you. Mr. Joey. Murray Jerry, Joey, how we are doing?

Joey Mure

good to be with you. Brett, I love being in like-minded places, so this is gonna be great.

Brett

great, excellent. And for our listeners to get to know you for the first time, why don’t you give us just a little bit more about your story and your current focus?

Joey Mure

And I’ll tell you, I was on the corporate ladder journey. You know, go to school, get a good get good grades, get a degree, go to get a good job, and one day, hopefully, maybe you’ll retire, if you accumulate enough money that you can live off of and as I was in the process of that, man, I have five beautiful daughters, and I started working more and more and
more to the point where I was stuck. I was being taken away. My time was on the proverbial rat race, and I would be sitting there even on vacation, saying, hey, girls, just go down to the beach. I’ll be down there just after one more call, and there I am, four hours later, trying to join them at the beach, and they’re done for the day, and they’re coming up to the condo or to the house, and I’m sitting there wondering, what am I going to do about this? Like, this doesn’t work, and that that really could put me on this journey to say, Man, I can’t be the only asset at work. Money has to be at work. And I don’t even know what to do yet, but I’m going to figure it out. And that’s really what started me on the journey to building what is now wealth without Wall Street. And you know, Russ and I talk about this every month on the podcast, but we’ve built over 50,000 a month in passive income, which has given us our time back.

Brett

Amazing, by the way. If you want to learn more about joey and everything that he and his partners are doing, just go to wealth without Wall Street, calm, and if you do also the forward slash, build it to billions. There’s a financial freedom score that you can check out, little survey, some free downloads. Again, that’s wealth without Wall Street, calm, forward slash, build it to billions. Don’t forget the s amazing. So, it sounds like Mr. Joey, you found out at a good, best time that you could, you know, you know, maybe today’s the next day that we focus on that which is not trading what was profitable for, what’s priceless, right? Which is always a bad trade. And so, today’s topic, which is freedom to increase service. You know, a lot of our listeners have made it financially. They have built it to at least, you know, a million dollar in revenue, or at least a million-dollar net worth, and, and, and their biggest thing is, you know, the freedom to increase their service or their time. So, Joey, what is the number one secret to freedom, to increase service and time?

Joey Mure

Well, I’ll tell you. It comes down to, is your passive income exceeding your monthly expenses? If that is the case. So that’s the funny thing is, you were talking about millionaire, billionaire. Like, what are those words even mean?

Brett
