Episode Highlights Here:
Vince:
It’s a way to get my workout as a property value and flip this after two years, so I’m still in that space.
Pierce:
I want to talk about the financial space quickly. But I want to start where we’re kind of you started, so are you still in real estate? Or what are you doing with that round?
Vince:
Yes, still real estate, you know, now I’m doing a different type of thing. I don’t have as many rental properties as I once had I lightened up right before 2008 and 2009, which was kind of left out there. I saw the writing on the wall, though. But right now, I’m doing rehabs and still active. But it’s a different way for me to get my workout in. So yesterday, I lifted about 3000 pounds of pavers and cement and concrete dust or sand. So it’s a way for me to get my workout as a value the property and flipping this after two years, so I’m still in that space. My first property, you know, as a waiter and busboy in the realtor was there when I was 1920 years old, and the realtor kept eating there and picking his brain every day and I got a partner with one of the guys I worked with at the gym and we went on this deal together and actually, I still have that property going on. 29 years later.
Pierce:
Wow. Nice. So a little bit of depreciation. Probably and, and whatnot. Where and what markets where are you in?
Vince:
Oh, right now, focus on Texas. I’m going to be unloading my California properties. But I love Texas, you know, not only for the business benefits of low taxes. No state tax here in California is about 14% of what they’re doing there. They just want to send people away. But, I also am looking into Florida to I’m interested in that market. So yeah, it’s a hobby for me, one of my first loves, I have to be in it. I’m in the area. I’m in this growing area, North Dallas, Frisco little elm area and I just like watching developments, and that’s always been an interest for me.
