Episode Highlights Here:

Tatiana
Problem is that when we get prepared for those kinds of events or things or whatever, we get prepared based on our past experience. And there’s this book called antifragile, which I love, highly recommend to everyone, where you can’t get ready for something that you haven’t encountered, and the point is not to be ready for something. It’s not to anticipate what’s coming. The point is to be flexible enough so that you can absorb the shock and come out on the other side. If that makes sense.

Brett
What’s the next? Maybe secret or thought on this to apply in this, right? Like, once you once you know, and you’re aware of those things that are sabotaging yourself on your mindset. What? What are things can people do to be like, you know, proactive to moving forward to the next, next positive mindset?

Tatiana
I think a really important key is to be flexible, to be agile. And agile is also big. Cliche in the programming world, and everybody wants to be agile and etc., etc., but I believe in Agile because when you’re open minded, when you’re key with encountering something that is brand new, that nobody has ever dealt with or maybe dealt with but you haven’t dealt with that is what makes you anti fragile, fragile, right when we’re fragile, any event like COVID, 19, like the worldwide pandemic and like a US, inflation, like any name, any crisis, can throw you off your horse. The problem is that when we get prepared for those kinds of events or things or whatever, we get prepared based on our past experience. And there’s this book called anti fragile, which I love, highly recommend to everyone, where you can’t get ready for something that you haven’t encountered, and the point is not to be ready for something. It’s not to anticipate what’s coming. The point is to be flexible enough so that you can absorb the shock and come out on the other side. If that makes sense, it makes perfect.

Brett
Yeah. It really feels like, you know, putting yourself through this, when you go through the stress, or, I think, like a, like a, like a sports or an athlete who’s training, right, you train much harder during practice, ideally, than you do in the game, because in game, it’s second, second nature, right? But if you’re if you’re not preparing yourself, right, if you’re not, if you’re not going through those challenges with the positive mindset, with making sure that you’re catching yourself when you’re having a negative mindset, right then when those bigger stressors come, like a like a COVID, or like a big market change, then you you’re going to go by default because you haven’t been prepared. Is that a fair summary? Tatiana,

Tatiana
yeah, I think so. And it’s great to not be ready for something specific, but more like, okay, now I’ve got this curve ball. What do I do with it? How can I make the best out of it? How can, how can I, pardon my cliche, make lemonade out of lemons?
Yeah, always looking for the silver lining, right? And it’s, it’s, I think there’s a good quote by Tony. Tony. Tony Robbins, likes, not what, what’s happening to me? It’s happening for me, right?
