If you want now to see the artworks of Leonardo da Vinci, you have to search, you have to click, you have to move between one and the other. It requires effort. So our biggest insight is, can we bring the best of art to people with very little effort, almost no effort as effortless as Netflix.

Brett

So what is the number one secret to reinventing the art experience?

Hussein

It’s really realizing what people care about. So when we first started, we wanted to, you know, bring the latest art from contemporary artists, the one thing so we and we did we’re doing that still, however, one of the things that were a huge insight for us is that a lot of people let’s say, if you think take, I don’t know Da Vinci, Michelangelo, some of the greatest artists in the history of the world, how many of those have you seen like, if you say Da Vinci, people probably saw Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, maybe the you know, the man, the the Peruvian man that you actually can see. But that’s it. Michelangelo, you remember the statue of David, you Sistine Chapel, but that’s about it. But these artists have a ton more work that is out there that we haven’t seen, unless we search for it. Now, when you see a good documentary, and guide you through that, it’s easy. You’re just sitting there and it’s just guiding you through the process. Whereas if you want now to see the artworks of Leonardo da Vinci, you have to search, you have to click, you have to move between one and the other. It requires effort. So our biggest insight is, can we bring the best of art to people with very little effort, almost no effort, as effortless as Netflix, you know, you go to netflix, you click play. And that’s it. You don’t have to know the directors, you don’t have to know how they made the movie, you don’t even have to know the names of the artists. So we wanted to bring the same kind of ease to people because then when on Netflix, you see some things like who wrote this, this is amazing, or who’s that actor. I love their acting. It’s first you experience, then you go and search, whereas the current experience of the internet is first search and then maybe you get to experience something. So we wanted to flip that on its head and we wanted to make it available in the world of art. And that was the insight into creating a platform that allows people to experience multiple works of art, with Mark for multiple artists as if they’re watching a movie as if they’re watching a documentary.
