Yeah, the number one secret to leveraging multi family wealth, what would you say? And to be able to build wealth? What would you say that you’ve been able to figure out?
Noel
Having humility. And so I guess it’s a two part question, I think, is humility. And so humility, to me means not by the true definition, of you know, we look at humility, but when I’m looking at humility is meaning not being afraid to ask for help, and asked to partner with individuals, you know, I, you know, you know, if I go back into the story of how I made that, that really that process into apartment apartments, it really came from some private lenders that I had on the small residential side. And I asked them, and they were investing with Bryan Adams, he’s a very well known syndicator. And they put me in contact with him. And I got to kind of indirectly mentor, and they were showing me items from a deal that they did. And so if I wasn’t able to, you know, just really like, ask, I wouldn’t be able to receive that. And I think the next thing is that when you’re when you’re raising money, is that, you know, always can’t be too, you know, you know, prideful to be like, hey, you know, I need this, you know, you should always ask, and I like the references book, The Who not how, so who not, how is a great book. So sometimes we’re always trying to wonder, like, how can we get something done, but it’s really like, who can connect this. So I’m really big on networking. And the next thing I like to do with that is quality over quantity. I’m really big on quality, I’m only trying to do maybe one or two deals a year, I’m not really big on acquiring properties for acquisition fees, I’m not interested in flipping apartment buildings, I’m looking for long term holds, where I can get my investors in. And then I can, you know, cash them out there for investment within four years, and then give them lifetime equity in the property. And I own it throughout. And so I’m ready to sell it and put in something else bigger.
Brett
Okay, awesome. So it sounds like not being afraid to ask for help, right? And also get in the right rooms with the right people that can mentor you can can show you something that level up, you know, your knowledge for the industry, right? And then also, who not how, you know, finding those who’s to, to partner with or to work with, versus just trying to do it yourself. And then focusing like a laser on the quality, not the quantity. Is that a fair summary? No, well,
Noel
perfect, perfect, you know, because I know sometimes we always want to, I’m sure you’ve been to conferences, I’ve been to conferences. And the biggest thing when you go to conferences, people are all I have 3000 doors, I have 2000 doors, that’s, that’s fine. I’m always concerned about, you know, the quality of the product. And what are you netting? I’m always really, you know, concerned, what is the net that you know, what are you netting? You know, so I’m not really, you know, bullish on saying I had this many units. I’m really concerned about what I’m going to be able to hand down to this young man right here. That’s, that’s always one of the main goals. What can I hand down to this young man? Or my son right here?
Brett
Excellent. Excellent. I love it. I love it. Yeah, and for those that aren’t watching on YouTube, check it on YouTube. Capital gains taxes are the expert care secrets YouTube channel. That was with his son there, which is amazing. Cool. And it sounds pretty relaxed on this podcast.
He’s doing a good job, son. So that’d be so let’s move on to the next part. And so you gotta get humility. You got to make sure you’re not afraid to ask questions in the right room. What’s the next Secret to Building multifamily or leveraging multifamily assets to build wealth?
Noel
I think the next thing is to have a really you know, designated plan and be very meticulous about it. I mentioned earlier I use syndication as a tool. All while I use real estate as a tool as well so my ultimate goal is to buy into a Major League franchise as a minority ownership. So I’m leveraging you know, my ownership and multifamily real estate and my net worth to eventually you know 10-15 years from now is my goal that I will have enough to actually buy into a sports team as a minority owner. So that’s how you know I’m really looking you know looking forward so you have to see yourself where you want to be and then come back and it really just pound the pound the plan Okay,
Brett
excellent. So having a clear vision and compelling vision right that you can that is going to propel you forward. But then having a plan to reverse engineer and get there and yours is the sport team is a minority or if you had to choose one sport in a while which which which are everyone team what would you see is there it
Noel
would be the Eagles, it’d be the Philadelphia Eagles. And there’s a lot to play when you’re going in a lot of people don’t understand you can actually syndicate into sports teams, you can actually create a fun as a minority ownership into a sports team. But you know, the stars have to line there are a lot of major league teams that are privately owned, some of them you know, don’t sell often. So a lot of things have to align for you to purchase one. But for me, it can be hockey, it can be Major League Baseball, it can be soccer, I know, that’s the goal is to kind of get my feet in there. And then you know, just keep parlaying.
Brett
I think that’s great. I mean, it’s really cool. And it’s also leveraging your background with sports and the high level right and to be able to connect that why not make money while you do it. And have fun, have fun while you do it. And hey, if there anytime you get with the Eagles is right now, man they are they’re red hot. So I’m talking with no well Parnell crown capital corp.com. Crown capital corp.com. Okay, cool. So we talked about designating a plan. We talked about who not how, you know, being there with the right people not being afraid to ask questions. Understanding that real estate, you know, in this for you is really for anyone, any of us should be the tool towards the vision we’re trying to unlock? What would you say is the next secret to leveraging multifamily assets to build wealth, so you can think of another? I
Noel
I think whatever is leveraging your network, I’m really big on LinkedIn, I know, you heard me speak about my ultimate goal. I slide into DMS on LinkedIn, with value but I’m always asking inquiring people that had their own minor league teams, Josh Harris, he just bought the, you know, the Washington rent or whatnot, right? Redskins Washington commanders. Now, you know, I’ll go in there. And I’ll just ask them questions, you know, to say, How can I, how can I be a service to you? Can I, what can I do? So I would say use your network that is accessible to you, you know, because I think people who are closer to you know what their goals are. But there it is really putting themselves that sometimes it’s out of a box. Right?
